FIRST
Husband, father, First In Family: Bart Regner
I am literally a new person in every way possible. My blood reports have improved my mood has improved, my workouts... literally everything is better. Week after week truly loving the process!”
Tell us a little bit about yourself...
39, almost 40 yikes!
Born in Poland, raised all over in Northern NJ
I have been working for PSE&G the best power utility in NJ!
I am as high as I can get as a union employee on the office side of the house, I hold the title of Senior engineering technician. I was lucky enough to find my soul mate at a very early age in college and we got married at 23 yrs old and have been inseparable ever since, 16yrs and counting!! We have one child a son who is just about to turn 13yrs old.
I maintain a really hectic schedule that does not allow for alot of sleep but somehow it works?!?!
I wake up at 3am to let the dogs out get my gear ready for work and gym. Leave the house at 345 for an hour drive to the gym. Gym from 5 to 6:15…. then work starts at 6:30am to 6:30pm then back home.
Meal prep, some time with my son, some time with my wife then a 5hr nap to do it all over again.
What brought you to the First In Family initially?
I got the pleasure to work with Jonathan before this all began and I couldn’t imagine working with anyone else I trust his judgement and guidance without fail.
First In really means family to me, the way my wife and I share everything and build each other up and support each other is 100% exactly like both Jonathan & Anne work together and not only support one another, but also everyone who commits to the family and really gives it there all.
Tell us a little bit about your background and history with food.
What was the turning point in your life when you realized you needed to make a change?
I thought I was huge and in full beast mode when in reality I was just huge. No matter how much caffeine I consumed it seemed I could never feel awake, i was constantly sore and really had very poor body composition. I decided to see what was up and asked for several blood tests and an in depth physical. Turns out I got to 270lbs, I had walking mono and my body decided to basically stop making testosterone.
Changes were needed in a big way!
What was the journey like and what changes did you make?
How do you feel after making those changes?
What did your friends/family think of your transformation?
Also the consistency has rubbed off on my wife and son alike! Now the whole family is into understanding what they are eating and what their body needs.
Were you active or did you workout during your journey?
What does being First In mean to you?
What was the biggest challenge or change when you started with First In and how did you overcome it?
If you consume it, it counts!
Just because you dont track it doesn’t mean it doesn’t count!
What’s next for you and where do you see this journey taking you in the future?
What are your top "secrets" for success?
2. Make a list of all of your favorite foods, then buy them in bulk knowing that you will be able to fit them into your plan through balance.
3. If you put in the work, you will see the results.
4. Believe it or not, your body wants to be healthy, and you are able to help that become a reality!
any advice for someone thinking about getting started?
You owe it to yourself.
You have to take care of yourself first!
If you are not number 1 priority then you can never help the ones you love and care for.
