Our process and our approach to food is based entirely on one thing… Finding freedom through structure…
Most of the time when people try to make a change, they do so with the best of intentions. But by going “all in” and making massive, radical changes to their lifestyle overnight, usually in the form of restriction without direction, the result simply ends up being frustration and not reaching their goals.
The “all or nothing” and “vilify everything” approach works great, until… Until it becomes unbearable or until life gets in the way. Until there’s a birthday, a holiday, a party, an anniversary, or a chance to go out with the crew.
This is why we believe that finding balance using the foods you already eat and enjoy, and structuring them in a way that will help you see progress is the key to making sustainable and enjoyable long-term changes!
Suffering is NOT the way to success... Anyone can suffer for 2 weeks or 21 days, but what happens after that? I’m not nearly as concerned with what you can endure over the next 2 weeks as much as finding what you can ENJOY for the next 2 years. To me THAT is the key to sustainable and lasting change.”
WE DON'T:
Believe in cutting out food groups or making any foods off-limits. We want you to eat the foods that make you feel and perform well and the ones that you enjoy in the amounts that are right for you.
Yes! You can still have that slice of pizza… just maybe not the whole thing.
WE DO:
Believe in personal accountability and accurate assessments. After all- what can be measured can be managed! This means weighing our food and ourselves often.
With great freedom comes great responsibility, but the rewards far outweigh the costs once you get the hang of it. (Both literally and figuratively!)
I struggled with body weight for many years; the newest diets, constant yo-yo in body weight, and never being able to find a solution. But, that changed with First In Nutrition starting day one.
With the tools and guidance provided I've completely changed my views on food without sacrificing any of my favorite foods. I can eat like an adult, enjoy sweets and treats with my kids, and maintain a body weight I hadn't seen in eight years.
Being able to choose to eat food I enjoy has helped me to gather a new outlook on life, be healthier and happier for my family, and perform better at work.
This is not just another fad diet that will go away after a couple weeks, this is a lifestyle of choosing to better myself by measuring and managing my food.

With assistance and guidance from your personal primary support, you will create a plan that works with your lifestyle, not against it. And while food is a big part of this process, we’ll also address other factors that play a big role in your quality of life. Stress, shift work, sleep deprivation, all of these things can affect your success. They present unique challenges that require specific attention which is why ALL of our primary support team are current or former First Responders or spouses and ALWAYS will be.
This coupled with the support and accountability from the First In Family made from other members sharing a similar journey is the “secret” to success.. We believe that in order for you to achieve the best results, you need support from a team who ‘walks the walk’ and truly understands the potential daily struggles you face.

Although each person and plan are different, there IS a common theme… The desire for a better quality of life. With the help of your primary support and the entire First In Family, you CAN succeed and live the life that you deserve!
After my yearly Lifescan physical that resulted in less than favorable results, I was tired of making excuses for feeling tired and out of shape. Being a gym rat has always been a constant for me but there is something to be said for DIET and exercise. I wasn’t managing the diet aspect very well and had tried several fad diets over the years where I did lose weight but it wasn’t a program that was sustainable long term.
Everything changed when I started with Jonathan. I just turned 49 and am in the best shape of my life not only physically but mentally.
My relationship with food is totally different and that is the big take away. I eat whatever I want but the difference is weighing, managing, and moderation.
